Commencement

LSU Health Sciences Center New Oleans will host an annual commencement ceremony honoring candidates for degrees of the respective professional schools. Payment of all financial indebtedness to the LSU System prior to commencement, as well as attendance at commencement, unless excused in writing, by the student’s Dean, is required. The schedule of graduation ceremonies through 2029 is as follows:

• Thursday, May 14, 2026 10:00 a.m.
• Thursday, May 13, 2027 10:00 a.m.
• Thursday, May 18, 2028 10:00 a.m.
• Thursday, May 17, 2029 10:00 a.m.

Students completing academic requirements during a term in which a commencement ceremony is not held will have their degrees conferred at the end of the academic term. Summer conferral dates will generally be on the second Saturday in August. Degrees in post-graduate dental education will be conferred on the last day of the term*. The schedule of conferral dates through 2027 is as follows:
