Dates for registration are listed in the school calendar. Late registration is permitted only under unusual circumstances.
If it is necessary for a student to carry more than 15 hours of credit in a semester, permission to exceed the 15-hour credit limit may be granted by the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs.
All students are required to comply with the Health Sciences Center student requirements. Upon acceptance, the Office of Admissions and Student Affairs gives each individual the LSUHSC Student Health Services Form on which health and immunization are documented. The individual submits the form to the Health Sciences Center Student Health Clinic.
Students who wish to resume studies after an absence of more than one semester from the School of Public Health will be required to submit an application for re-admission at least ten days before registration.
Supplementary transcripts must be submitted if any work has been taken at another institution during the interim. Exceptions to this requirement must be by successful petition to the Dean.
Multi-campus Registration Procedures
Students enrolled full-time in the LSU System may cross-enroll.
At least two weeks prior to registration, students must submit to the School of Public Health Office of Admissions and Student Affairs documentation that fees have been paid at the home campus; the Schedule of Courses Form (for adding/dropping courses); and the LSU System Multi-Campus Registration form.
Courses may be audited only with the written permission of the course director. The same fees will be charged for audited courses as for those courses taken for credit. The student must note the intention to audit on the Schedule of Courses Form.
