DLT 3116 - PRINCIPLES OF DENTAL IMPLANTOLOGY[3 Credits] This course is designed to give DLT students additional information in Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics. Students will gain knowledge about implant design, the implant-bone interface, implant-soft tissue interface and prosthodontics considerations which must be incorporated in the restoration to ensure long-term success. The course will multi-disciplinary between the Departments of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Periodontics, and Prosthodontics. Students will take the information presented in lectures to the laboratory and apply the principles to fabricate implant supported prostheses.
