ENHS 6247 - PREVENTION & MANAGEMENT OF FOODBORNE DISEASES[3 Credits] The purpose of this course is to provide an overview of (1) food borne diseases and their etiologies, (2) factors that favor and deter microbial growth in foods, (3) characteristics of food borne disease outbreak (4) emerging pathogens related to food borne disease, and (5) federal and state responsibilities in control of food borne disease.
