DENT 4103 - PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT IV[56 Credits] The purpose of this course is to help the young professional to develop a thriving General Dentistry Practice while fully realizing that dynamic changes and trends in the delivery of dental services are now and will be taking place in the future. The course content will include the following general areas: (1) leadership, (2) communication (3) financial and business management, and (4) marketing. Specifically, the course addresses topics such as understanding the contractual arrangements of partnership, associateship, and practice transitions; understanding the components of dental overhead; understanding the legal ramifications of patient care; and managing/directing office personnel.
