PHYSIO 110 - EXPERIMENTAL DESIGN & ANALYSIS

The primary purpose of this course is to provide an overview of basic principles of experimental design and biostatistics for L1 medical students interested in biomedical research. At the end of this course, students will have a general knowledge of data organization and basic statistics using Microsoft Excel, be able to present and interpret graphical data, and be able to think critically about experimental design and statistics, including interpretation of the scientific literature. This course is designed to prepare students for competitive research internships by presenting and discussing important topics relevant to becoming a physician-scientist.
