DENT 3118 - INTRODUCTION TO TEMPOROMANDIBULAR DISORDERS

This course will be designed to introduce the student to the differential diagnosis and treatment of stomatognathic dysfunction. This course will be primarily a lecture course and will cover the anatomy, neuroanatomy and physiology of normal function, the pathophysiology of temporomandibular disorders, their diagnosis and treatment. There is also a clinical exercise in fabricating and delivering an oral appliance along with a TMD physical exam and patient history.
