BSPH 4502 - FOUNDATIONS OF MATERNAL & CHILD HEALTH

The course will introduce students to the maternal, child, and adolescent health (MCH) programs, research, and public health services in the U.S. and to understand the history, principles, function, and organization of MCH services at the local, state, and federal levels. The course will emphasize the behavioral health, socioeconomic factors, and policy issues currently affecting reproductive-age women, infants, children, and adolescents, with a focus on health disparities among low-income, underserved, minority populations.
