This is the fourth and final In a series of courses required for the Latine Health Scholars Honors Track, a program that aims to increase the number of healthcare providers who have proficiency In medical Spanish and the skills and understanding necessary to work toward reducing barriers and improving healthcare for the Increasing population of patients with limited English proficiency, Course expectations include completion of Canopy Credential certification. Students must also complete and present their scholarly project to the course director and other members of the Latine Health Scholars Honors Program. Students are also expected to participate as mentors in linguistic and cultural engagement seminars and to uphold school expectations regarding professional behavior.
