BIONF 250 - ADVANCED BIOINFORMATICS

This is a career-oriented course and is designed to bring together the students, captains of industry and national experts to share their experiences with students enrolled in MS Biomedical Sciences-Bioinformatics Track. Students enrolled in this course will learn about emerging technologies including, but not limited to, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Artificial General Intelligence. Blockchain, precision medicine, drug discovery, Big data, synthetic biology and related technologies with application to biomedical and life sciences. Students will also learn entrepreneurship and how to prepare and navigate career pathways in academic medical centers and the biotech and pharmaceutical industries through interactions with experts and team sciences-based presentations and discussions.
