This course provides students with a comprehensive overview of the health policymaking processes and techniques for performing policy analysis including policy formulation, implementation, and evaluation. Critical content is covered regarding laws that have shaped the healthcare infrastructure in the U.S. Upon completion of the course, students will have the ability to perform a concise policy analysis of health problems and document potential resolutions with a set of policy alternatives through the development of policy memos and policy briefs.
