COUN 6641 - PRACTICUM IN COUNSELING

Students acquire field counseling experience and firsthand knowledge of the purpose, function, services, and clientele of an agency. Students apply knowledge learned in didactic courses and achieve specific competencies in counseling during the course of their off-site placement in a mental health setting. Supervision is provided by a professional in the facility or program, and by the departmental faculty. Prerequisites: COUN 6611, COUN 6612.
