HLSC 2417 - HEALTH ASSESSMENT LABORATORY

Health Assessment Lab provides foundational knowledge and skills for nursing practice and incorporates knowledge from nursing theories and other disciplines, including the social sciences and humanities. Students will explore core nursing concepts, including the nursing process, communication, patient safety, and ethical principles. This course provides an introduction to essential nursing competencies, including physical assessment, patient history collection, clinical documentation, and the accurate measurement of vital signs. Students will integrate theoretical knowledge with practical application through simulated learning experiences in the hospital lab. Co-requisite: HLSC 2416
