NURS 3355 - CHILD HEALTH NURSING THEORY

This theory course prepares students to understand holistic, evidence-based care that promotes pediatric growth, development, and health while reducing risks and managing illnesses. Emphasis is placed on professionalism, cultural competence, ethical practice, and interprofessional collaboration to deliver safe care for children and families. Students will explore policies, information technology, and communication strategies for nurses when providing safe and competent care to pediatric patients. Prerequisites: NURS 3351, 3362, 3372, 3356, 3366; Co-requisite: NURS 3365, 3345.
