NURS 3358 - WOMEN’S HEALTH NURSING THEORY

This theory course explores theories and concepts in nursing care for women across the lifespan, focusing on health promotion and illness prevention from menarche to post-menopause. Emphasis is placed on critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and relationship-building skills in caring for women and their families. Guided by the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nursing (AWHONN) standards and AACN Essentials, the course builds on prior knowledge to enhance understanding of women’s health and the human experience of nursing.
