NURS 3365 - CHILD HEALTH NURSING PRACTICUM

This course provides the student with clinical opportunities in caring for diverse children from birth to adolescence. The student will apply the nursing process while caring for diverse children in inpatient and outpatient settings. The educational focus is on developing clinical, communication, teaching, and management of care skills in caring for children, their families, and significant others. This practicum builds upon information presented in previous nursing courses, social sciences and humanities, health assessment and pathophysiology. Prerequisites: NURS 3351, 3362, 3372, 3356, 3366. Corequisite: NURS 3345.
