NURS 3370 - RESEARCH IN NURSING

Nursing research introduces students to the essential steps of the nursing research process, focusing on critiquing and interpreting research in the context of nursing practice. Through a structured critique process, students will utilize the scientific method to evaluate quantitative and qualitative research studies, assessing their strengths, weaknesses, and relevance to nursing. Emphasis is placed on analyzing published research for alignment between the research problem, methods, evidence strength, and applicability to nursing practice, while also considering legal and ethical standards. Additionally, the course explores current research trends and healthcare issues, evaluating their influence on nursing practice. Prerequisites: BIOS 3115.
