NURS 7612 - PUBLIC HEALTH/COMMUNITY HEALTH NURSING III: PROGRAM IMPLEMENTATION

This is a practicum course from the perspective of a population focused community oriented advanced public health/community health professional nursing practice. The student examines the structure and strategies required to implement a community health intervention program. The implementation plan is based on a health problem/issue targeting a specific population identified in NURS 7610 and NURS 7611. Students develop an evaluation plan for monitoring the community health program utilizing nursing research and evidence-based practice principles. The practicum focuses on the public health nursing competencies associated with implementation of a community health program with the application of competencies such as but not limited to leadership, management, team science, and change management under the guidance of course faculty and approved preceptors.
