NURS 7908 - ADVANCED PEDIATRIC PRIMARY CARE ESSENTIALS

Primary Care Essentials for Pediatric Nurse Practitioner builds on the scientific foundation of advance practice nursing. This course includes didactic and clinical learning experiences designed to facilitate the development of competence in the evidence-based evaluation and management of the comprehensive management and health promotion pertaining to the unique needs of pediatric patients from infants to 21 years and their families in primary fare settings. Systematic appraisal of physical, social, developmental, family and parenting skills are utilized in clinical management. Health promotion, nutrition and education are emphasized. Clinical problems are analyzed and interpreted using an epidemiological approach to pediatric patient care management.
