NURS 7936 - MIDWIFERY CARE I: SEXUAL & REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH, GYNECOLOGY, HEALTH PROMOTION, EPISODIC PRIMARY CARE[7 Credits] This course prepares students to apply midwifery principles in managing reproductive, sexual, and gynecologic health for adolescents and adults. Focus areas include evidence-based care planning, health education, communication strategies, and ethical decision-making in reproductive health. Students will develop person-centered care plans that consider social and cultural factors and explore the use of technology to enhance patient care and healthcare delivery. Additionally, students will design policies to improve accessibility, quality, and cost-effectiveness of sexual and reproductive healthcare at various levels of the healthcare system. Clinical practicum experiences take place in outpatient and community settings.
