OFP 5603 - OROFACIAL PAIN LITERATURE REVIEW

The course is for first- and second-year Orofacial Pain residents. They will receive and review selected research articles on a specific topic from their faculty to develop a deep understanding of the current research and literature in orofacial pain management. It comprises different articles regarding Orofacial Pain principles of Biostatistics, research design and methodology, scientific writing, and literature critique. It also intends to provide experience and evidence-based orofacial pain practice by evaluating the current literature. This course guides the residents through preparing a literature review, selecting and analyzing existing literature, and structuring and writing a quality literature review. Most importantly, the course develops skills in using evidence to create and present an engaging and critical argument.
