This course builds on foundational knowledge from previous nurse educator courses, providing student with the opportunity to refine their expertise in the advanced specialty role of nurse educator. Through a focus on the application, integration, and synthesis of educational theories and competencies, students will develop proficiency in academic teaching across diverse settings, including didactic instruction, clinical practicum, laboratory teaching, and simulation-based learning. The course emphasizes the translation of evidence-based educational strategies to promote learner engagement and success, aligning with the AACN Essentials’ emphasis on competency-based, learner-centered education and the preparation of nurse educators as transformational leaders.
