EHCS 7202 - ANALYSIS OF WEATHER AND CLIMATE EXTREMES[3 Credits] This course will begin discussion on the causes of extreme climatological events occurring at spatial scales from local to global and on temporal scales from days to years (or longer). The course focuses primarily on analysis of heavy rain events, though hurricanes, floods, and extreme temperatures are also discussed. Each student will focus on a selected type of extreme event for in-depth analysis, based on their individual research interests. This course will be interdisciplinary, based in part on the interests and backgrounds of the students in the course.
