HLSC 2418 - RNBSN HEALTH ASSESSMENT THEORY

This course provides a foundation in health assessment techniques for RN nursing students. Students will develop the knowledge and skills necessary to perform a thorough physical examination, obtain relevant medical and social history, and document findings accurately and effectively. Emphasis is placed on introducing evidence-based practice, and cultural sensitivity into the assessment process across the lifespan. The course includes theoretical instruction and incorporates knowledge from nursing theories and other disciplines, including the social sciences and humanities, to plan safe, high-quality, and equitable care across various healthcare settings.
