NURS 4377 - RN POPULATION FOCUSED THEORY

[3 Credits]
The RN student theory course introduces key concepts in population-focused health nursing.  RN students explore community as a patient, assess health disparities, and examine systems affecting health outcomes.  Topics include health promotion, risk reduction, programing planning, environmental health, transcultural care, and population health outcomes.  Additional focus areas include epidemiology, ethics, global health, disaster response, and telehealth.  Emphasis is placed on interprofessional collaboration and equity in population-based care.
