DLT 3116 - Principles of Dental Implantology[3 Credits] This course is designed to give DLT students additional information in Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics. Students will gain knowledge about implant design, the implant-bone interface, implant-soft tissue interface and prosthodontic considerations which must be incorporated in the restoration to ensure long-term success. This is a multi-disciplinary course integrating the Departments of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Periodontics, and Prosthodontics. Lecture information will be utilized in the laboratory by applying principles to fabricate implant supported prostheses.
