NURS 2372 - Foundations of Nursing Practice Simulation/ Lab

The foundations of nursing simulation/lab course builds on knowledge and basic skills from the sciences, humanities, previous and concurrent nursing courses. The simulation lab experience will allow the student the opportunity to develop basic skills in a safe environment including but not limited to hygiene, asepsis, elimination, medication administration, oxygenation, patient positioning, and safety. Students will have the opportunity to practice critical thinking and decision making in simulated case scenarios. Corequisite: NURS 2351 , NURS 2362 , HLSC 2416 , HLSC 2417 , HLSC 3409 , HLSC 3410 . Prerequisite: NURS 2371 , HLSC 2410 , HLSC 2412 .
