NURS 6334 - Advanced Neonatal Assessment[3 Credits] This course focuses on advanced assessment of the normal and high risk neonate. The advanced practice nursing student will have the opportunity to develop neonatal physical assessment skills including history taking, physical and gestational age assesment, behavioral, cultural and genetics assessment. The course will focus on development of critical decision making skills as they relate to assessment of at-risk and potentially critically ill neonates of varying gestatinal ages with recognition of situations requiring interdisciplinary consultation or referal. Includes field experience. Pre-requisities/co-requisities: NURS 6335, 6336.
