CPSC 4310 - POLYSOMNOGRAPHY[4 Credits] This course is designed to provide both didactic and laboratory training in polysomnographic technology. Students will become familiar with the basic and advanced aspects of polysomnographic technology including instrumentation setup and calibration, recording and monitoring techniques, obtaining and evaluation high quality sleep recordings, sleep scoring and event recognition, therapeutic interventions, documentation, professional issues, and patient-technologist interactions related to polysomnographic technology. Laboratory sessions will provide practical experience in the skills required to obtain and evaluate high quality sleep recordings.
