NRSC 270 - LABORATORY ROTATION[3-5 Credits] For the first two semesters (Fall and Spring) students enroll for four credits] and take two eight week rotations (each semester) to familiarize themselves with specific laboratory techniques, use of laboratory equipment, and data analysis and presentation. With the help of the laboratory supervisor, the student initially writes a paragraph on the project to be undertaken, and at the end of the rotation is expected to write a two-page paper on the project, comprising an Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, and Conclusions sections. The student is expected to contact the investigator(s) well ahead of time to obtain permission and to make all necessary arrangements for the rotation. Scheduling of times is highly flexible and arranged by mutual agreement between the student and the investigator. A maximum of eight credits may be used toward a degree.
