NURS 6326 - PRACTICUM ADVANCED PUBLIC HEALTH/COMMUNITY HEALTH NURSING[3 Credits] This is the third in a sequence of four courses, which has both didactic and clinical (150 hours) components. It is based on Healthy People 2010 from the perspective of population focused, community oriented advanced public health/community health professional nursing practice. Didactic component introduces the student to the theory, structure and strategies required to develop an evaluation plan for a community health intervention program. An evaluation plan for monitoring the community health program developed in N6341 will be prepared, utilizing public health and nursing research. Issues related to maintaining community level change, and social and political implications are included. Practicum component enables the student to continue with the implementation of the program developed in N6341. Prerequisites NURS 6340; NURS 6341; PATH 210; BIOS 6100.
