NURS 7040 - ADVANCED NURSING SPECIALTY: NEPHROLOGY THEORY

Advanced Nursing Specialty: Nephrology Theory is a course designed to build upon the advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) student’s role and population-focused competencies; to support the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) student’s practicum experiences within nephrology practice settings and to facilitate the student’s transition to practice. This course will provide students with the opportunity to explore advanced practice in nephrology while increasing their clinical competency to effectively manage and treat patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD). The course includes 3 credit hours (45 contact hours) of didactic learning experience.
