The Advance Education in Prosthodontics curriculum is a thirty-six-month course of advance study beginning July 1 of each year. Residents will receive advanced level training in fixed, removable, and maxillofacial prosthodontics, dental implant restoration and placement. Basic science courses reinforce knowledge in planning and providing complex restorative treatment in an interdisciplinary setting. The MSD research project allows students to integrate clinical experience with scientific knowledge and present their findings in an oral and written format. Upon successful completion of the program, the student will be awarded a certificate in prosthodontics, will be eligible to take the American Board of Prosthodontics examination, and receive a Master of Science in Dentistry Degree. Applicants should possess competitive academic credentials and have demonstrated an interest in prosthodontics. Additional experience beyond dental school strengthens the applicant’s credentials. A personal interview is required for the benefit of the applicant and faculty. Application can be made through the ADEA Postdoctoral Support Service (PASS).
