Nursing Practice Curriculum (Post Master’s)


Total: 40 Credits


The Scholarly Inquiry I, II, III courses and the Advanced Nursing Practicum I, II, III courses must be concentrated in one of the following roles and populations: Nurse Anesthesia, Primary Care Family Nurse Practitioner, Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, Public and Community Health Nursing, Adult Health Clinical Nurse Specialist, and Nursing Administration.

*The Scholarly Inquiry Project is a culminating experience for the doctoral program, representing the student’s ability to formulate a project in a specific role and population and implement it from start to finish using a combination of conceptual, technical, and applied knowledge.

**Required clinical practicum hours are individualized based on the number of hours completed in the master’s program. All students must complete a minimum requirement of 180 clinical hours (3 credits). Completion of a series of advanced nursing practicum course will provide the student with a minimum of 1000 hours of post-baccalaureate academic practice experience in their specific role and population.

The minimum credit hours for the post-masters DNP is 40 hours. The required credit hours for the psot-master’s DNP are dependent upon the number of credits required in each Advanced Nursing Practicum I, II, III.
