NURS 4352 - Critical Care Nursing Theory

[3 Credits]
This course builds upon the basic sciences and principles of nursing established in previous level nursing courses. Theoretical foundations for this course focus on the physiological changes occurring in adults/aged adults with acute, complex health problems. Course content is guided by standards of critical care nursing formulated by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses. Students are expected to be able to apply the nursing process in the practice of nursing and in assisting the client and family to cope with an acute health crisis. Corequisite: NURS 4362  and NURS 4372 . Prerequisite: NURS 3355 , NURS 3365 ,NURS 3358 , NURS 3368 , NURS 3451 , and NURS 3370 .
